      Dia De Los Muertos 3-Day Workshop
Join us for a three-day journey into the rich history, culture, and traditions of Día de los Muertos!
Date: Tuesday, Nov 4 - Thursday, Nov 6
Time: 11am-3pm
Ages: Mixed Age Learning (PreK-12—grouped by level)
This hands-on workshop helps children understand the meaning of this ancient celebration while exploring multiple subjects through fun, engaging activities.
    •    Day 1 – History & English: Discover the origins of Día de los Muertos, learn about Indigenous traditions, and practice and use reading and writing skills with stories about ancestors and cultural resilience.
    •    Day 2 – Arts & Science: Create colorful ofrendas (altars) and decorations while exploring the science of plants, colors, and natural materials used in traditional offerings.
    •    Day 3 – Math & Music: Practice math skills through measuring, counting, and pattern-making while learning traditional songs and rhythms to celebrate life and memory.
By the end of the workshop, children will have a deeper understanding of how life, death, and creativity are connected in Indigenous cultures, all while developing skills across core subjects.
